Anthony Dovkants is senior reporter for International Financing Review (IFR) in Latin America covering the region’s external and local markets with a primary focus on Brazil.
With 10 years experience of financial market coverage, he has spent the last six in Brazil. At IFR he provides in-depth coverage on the local debenture, securitisation, CMBS, external bond and loans markets, alerting DCM players to potential mandates, and upcoming offers. Reviewing market trends and evolving investment banking strategies are also a key part of his role.
Anthony first began reporting for the Press Association in London 1997-1998, before moving to Dow Jones where he covered IPOs and M&As across Europe. In 2000, he moved to Brazil to become head of Dow Jones for Brazil. He has also contributed to various newspapers, including features for the Wall Street Journal Europe. He joined IFR in 2004.
