Shankar Ramakrishnan has been a Senior Reporter with the International Financing Review (IFR) magazine based in Singapore since 2002. His coverage areas include the securitisation market in Australia and in Asia, the syndicated loan markets in Singapore and Indonesia and new transactions in the Indian bond market.

With over 14 years of experience as a journalist, Shankar has worked in newspapers, magazines and news agencies in India and Singapore. These have included Financial Express, where he was appointed Senior Reporter covering India’s stock markets and its regulators, and The Observer of Business and Politics. From 1995 Shankar was Senior Financial Correspondent and Mumbai Bureau Chief at international news agency Bridge News in Mumbai, covering India’s government securities, bond and foreign exchange market. He also worked in the Singapore office, focusing on regional bond and currency markets.

Shankar’s experience writing about Indian markets, regulations and its politics have helped him present a holistic and comprehensive view through this management report.
